Section 505.4 of the 2020 Property Maintenance Code of New York State requires water heating facilities to be properly installed, maintained and capable of supplying water at every required sink, lavatory, bathtub, shower and laundry facility at not less than 110 degrees Fahrenheit, and requires an approved combination temperature and pressure relief valve and discharge pipe to be properly installed and maintained. Section 506.2 requires every plumbing stack, vent, waste and sewer line to be kept free from obstructions, leaks and defects.
